Our leadership

Michael Garron Hospital has always been the heart of East Toronto. From our beginnings during the earliest days of our community’s development, we have been there during the most critical moments of people’s lives. And as our community has become more diverse and complex, we have been quick to evolve along with our neighbours’ healthcare needs. We are driven by a passionate belief that when people are healthy, they can contribute more fully to their families, communities, and society.

Michael Garron Hospital plays a central role in our community, and to continue to do so, we need to have spaces that are as inviting and inclusive as our people, and reflect the community we are embedded in.

There’s never been a more exciting time to be involved here. Thanks to the generosity of community leaders through our successful Heart of the East Campaign, our new Ken and Marilyn Thomson Patient Care Centre is now welcoming patients. The new facility offers bright, uplifting spaces, more single occupancy rooms with greater privacy, as well as conveniently located outpatient clinics. Further renovations to our legacy campus are underway to support our community’s evolving needs.

From our very beginnings, when dedicated volunteers sold bricks door-to-door to fund the original hospital building, East Toronto has always supported our growth. As a donor, your giving makes a tangible, daily impact on our patients. Your philanthropic spirit supports extraordinary innovation at the hospital and is helping us provide award-winning, patient-centred, compassionate care for those who need us most. Thank you very much for your generosity.
