Michael Garron Hospital (MGH) is closely monitoring the spread of the novel coronavirus (COVID-19). The MGH IPAC (Infection Prevention and Control) team is in close contact with Public Health Ontario and other agencies to help guide decision-making. In anticipation of an increase in cases, a dedicated, on-site COVID-19 Assessment Centre has opened at the hospital and provides screening, assessment and testing for individuals in East Toronto who are experiencing possible symptoms of COVID-19. The clinic has a separate entrance on Mortimer Avenue, west of the Emergency Department, and cannot be accessed from inside the hospital. The centre is currently open Monday-Friday from 4-8 p.m. by appointment only - the centre is not open for walk-in visits at this time. Please call ahead to book an appointment: 416-469-6858.
Patients who do not have symptoms should not visit the COVID-19 Assessment Centre. Instead, please contact Toronto Public Health: 416-338-7600.

Health and safety are our top priority, and we are following all current directives from Public Health Ontario and our IPAC (Infection Prevention and Control) team. As such, we have postponed upcoming events including the March 18th Tax Savings Seminar and the April 8th Behind the Scenes event. We will not be conducting any in-person meetings at the hospital.
At present, we are moving forward with our upcoming signature fundraising events, including the Kick the Stigma soccer tournament and community festival in September. We will continue to monitor the situation and update our website with any changes.
